Year 6 and Reception have been matched up as ‘Special Friends’ for the year. This provides Year 6 with opportunities to be leaders and great role models for the younger children and develop their nurturing skills. Reception have the benefit of having an older child to read to every week, to develop a lasting friendship and to bring joy to the Year 6 children.
Year 6 spend 10 minutes hearing their Special friends read once or twice a week and have the opportunity to stay and play every half term.
